Contest Rules
CONTEST RULES:
Please note anyone found in violation of the following rules will result in immediate disqualification and may result in being barred from future Coscom contests.
This is an 18+ contest, underaged contestants will be disqualified.
The costume you submit must have been made by you. If there are elements that are not handmade or were not made by you (gloves, shoes, crinolines, commissioned wigs, etc.) you must specify them in the space provided on the entry form.
Costumes that have won a major award (placed first, second, third, best in show, or judges choice) in previous competitions may not be submitted.
Group costumes may not be submitted. Each entry must be for a single person who contributed the majority of the work shown.
Costumes and photos must be suitable for Coscom's social media; any costumes or photos that violate X, Instagram, Threads, or Bluesky’s terms of service may be disqualified. (This includes nudity, profanity, extreme gore, racially insensitive depictions, hate speech, etc.)
Applications must be submitted by the deadline (August 21st, 11:59 EST) Applications submitted after this will not be considered, and we cannot accept late applications via our social media/ contact form.
You must specify your country of origin. US trade embargo, international, and local laws prevent us from issuing prizes to the following countries. Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Quebec, Brazil, Italy, China, and the Ukraine. Residents/ citizens of these countries will not be able to participate.
All entries consent to the possibility of the submitted images being posted on Coscom’s social media, website, and newsletter.
